  • Is Store-X open?
    StoreX is a brand new self-storage facility and our grand opening will be in November 2024. Follow us on social media for more details and don't miss our opening deals and save.
  • What is self-storage, and how can Store-X help me with my storage needs?
    Self-storage lets you rent secure units to store your belongings short-term or long-term. StoreX offers container self-storage in various unit sizes with top-notch security, flexible terms, and competitive prices. Our team can help you choose the right unit and answer questions.
  • Are there any contracts I have to sign when using services from Store-X?
    Yes, when you choose to use services from StoreX, you will need to sign a contract. This contract ensures that both parties have a clear understanding of the terms and conditions, the scope of services provided, and the mutual obligations. It's designed to protect your interests as well as ours, providing a structured framework for our professional relationship. The contract will cover aspects like payment terms, confidentiality agreements, service level expectations, and termination clauses. If you have any questions or need clarifications about the contract, our team is always available to assist you, ensuring you feel confident and informed before moving forward.
  • How long can I rent a unit for?
    There is no limit to how long you can stay.
  • What do I do when I'm finished with my storage unit?
    When you decide that you no longer need the unit, then please provide us with 30 days’ notice in writing.
  • What is the minimum storage period?
    The minimum storage period is one month. You may use your storage unit for less than a month. However, you still have to pay for the full month.
  • What else can I store?
    We also offer safe storage for vehicles, caravans, boats, trailers and more.
  • How do I move my things into storage?
    Most customers use a car, a moving company or rent a trailer to move the goods themselves. We can also assist you with moving your goods in at an extra cost.
  • Do I have to reserve a unit before I arrive?
    Yes, you will need to pay a deposit to secure the unit.
  • Can I view the facility before I rent a unit?
    Yes. Contact our team to set up a viewing time suitable.
  • What sizes of self-storage units does Store-X offer?
    StoreX offers self-storage units in various sizes from as small as 3m containers to as large as 12m containers. We can also assist you with a customised option to fit your needs.
  • What are the opening hours for Store-X self-storage facility?
    7 Days/week: 7am - 6pm or By Appointment (t’s and c’s apply) Closed Public Holidays
  • How does self-storage work at Store-X?
    At StoreX, self-storage works by renting a unit based on your storage needs, accessing it at your convenience, and ensuring the security of your belongings within the facility.
  • How do I know what storage unit size I need?
    Our team is here to assist you to make an informed decision and to save you money.
  • What documentation do I need to move in?
    A signed lease agreement.
  • Are my goods insured with you?
    Not automatically, but StoreX has very competitive insurance coverage for your stuff. Please contact us for more details. If you choose not to get coverage with StoreX, insurance remains your responsibility. If you already have household contents insurance with another provider, you can arrange for your goods to be covered by them while stored with StoreX. This is usually the most cost-effective solution.
  • What kind of security do you have?
    Security is very important to us. Our security features include electric fences, controlled PIN pad access or via mobile App, security cameras, infra-red sensors, individual unit alarms, daily lock checks and external alarm monitoring and armed response.
  • Who keeps the key?
    Only you have the key to your storage unit. The locking system on your storage unit’s door is secured by a padlock. You lock it, you keep the key.
  • Can I move in today at Store-X?
    Moving in same-day depends on space availability and paperwork completion. Contact us early on the desired move-in day for updates and guidance. Have documentation ready for a smooth process. Our facility opens in November 2024. Pre-book now and save.
  • Where is Store-X located?
    Find us at 1185 East Coast Road, Redvale on the North Shore in Auckland. Conveniently located to service areas: Long Bay, Torbay, Fairview Heights, Albany, Northcross, Browns Bay, Pinehill, Oteha, Murrays Bay, Windsor Park, Mairangi Bay, Rosedale, Lucas Heights. ​
  • How often and when can I access my unit at Store-X?
    As often as you wish. You can access your unit from 7am to 6pm on any day of the week including weekends. As part of our commitment to provide convenient access that works for you, we can accommodate special access requests outside of the indicated hours, this ensures that you have the flexibility to visit your unit whenever it suits your schedule, without any restrictions.
  • Who else has access?
    You decide who you would like to give access to; just let us know and we will be happy to set up a personalised site access code per person. We do not have access to your storage unit therefore you are responsible for arranging access to the individual storage unit.
  • What does self-storage cost?
    This depends on the unit size that you select. We have units ranging from three square metres up to 28 square metres and for larger storage needs we have bulk self-storage options. If you are not sure what size will suit you contact us and we will assist you. Have also run special deals from time to time be sure to enquire about them.
  • Are there any additional costs?
    Costs that are not included in your monthly rental: One month deposit upfront. Your own padlock. Insurance and transport/moving costs should you elect to use these services.
  • When do I pay?
    Before you move in: - One month deposit - Monthly rental Once you are moved in the ongoing rental is payable monthly in advance.
  • Will I receive an invoice?
    You will receive tax invoices and account statements monthly.
  • What payment methods are available?
    - Cash - EFT - Debit Order
